Booklet orders require one complete, print-ready PDF. PDF keeps the page order, fonts, images, and layout together and allows our preflight system to inspect the file before production.

Upload single pages in normal reading order. Start with the front cover and end with the back cover. Do not impose the booklet or arrange printer spreads; we handle that during production.

Booklet Boss checks whether the PDF opens correctly, whether the page count matches the order, whether page sizes are consistent, and whether trim or bleed information is present. Critical errors must be fixed. Warnings can be acknowledged when appropriate.

Yes. Choose the upload-later option during checkout. The order will be placed on hold and production will not begin until the PDF is received and approved.

Use 300 dpi images at final printed size whenever possible. Images copied from websites are often too small for sharp printing.

Yes, but CMYK is preferred. RGB colors may look brighter on a monitor than they can reproduce in print, so some color change is normal during conversion.

Bleed is artwork that extends ⅛ inch beyond the finished trim edge. It prevents thin white edges when a background or image is intended to print all the way to the edge.

Yes. Printer marks can make the outside PDF page larger than the finished size. Our preflight checks the PDF TrimBox, BleedBox, and CropBox before using the overall page size.

Keep important text and logos at least ¼ inch inside the final trim edge. Allow extra room near the binding edge so content does not feel crowded.

Each folded sheet creates four booklet pages. That means valid saddle-stitch counts include 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, and so on. The cover is included in the total page count.

Saddle stitch uses folded sheets and two staples through the fold. It is affordable, fast, and ideal for programs, catalogs, newsletters, and booklets with lower or moderate page counts.

Perfect binding glues gathered interior pages into a wraparound cover and creates a square paperback-style spine. It is best for thicker publications and premium catalogs.

Coil binding punches pages along one edge and inserts a durable plastic coil. The finished book lays flat and can fold back on itself, making it excellent for manuals and workbooks.

A very thick saddle-stitched booklet may not fold or trim cleanly. When page count and stock make another binding more practical, the builder displays a prominent recommendation for perfect or coil binding.

Text stock is flexible and generally used for interior pages. Cover stock is thicker and adds protection, stiffness, and a more substantial first impression.

Gloss has the most shine and makes photos look vivid. Silk is smooth and coated but has less glare. Uncoated has a natural paper feel and is easier to write on.

80# or 100# gloss text is a popular choice for bright photography and product images. Silk text is an excellent alternative when you want a more refined, low-glare appearance.

60# or 70# uncoated text is practical, readable, and easy to write on. A 100# uncoated cover adds durability without a glossy finish.

It is heavy cardstock coated on two sides. It has a firm, postcard-like feel and is the most substantial standard cover option in Booklet Boss.

Production time begins after payment is complete and your print-ready PDF has been received and approved. Shipping transit time is separate from production turnaround.
